Learn how to make an adorable Crochet Penelope mouse. With written instructions how to make yours.
The journey of creating the delightful crochet Penelope mouse began with igniting a spark of creativity. I am thrilled to share this experience! The joy I experienced in crafting her was simply boundless.
My sister and I visited a vibrant yarn festival in our community. It was absolutely filled with colorful stalls and enthusiastic crafters. Of course, we had to buy some beautiful yarn to add to our ever-growing collection.
With my youngest daughter’s birthday approaching quickly, I found myself filled with excitement and creativity. My youngest, who has been a dedicated ballet dancer for years, inspired me to come up with a heartfelt gift. I wanted to use the special yarn I had just purchased. It would be incredibly cute to create the crochet Penelope mouse.
This yarn had sparkles woven into it. I wanted to create something that truly reflected her passion. After pondering various ideas, I decided to make an adorable crochet Penelope mouse. It would wear a delicate ballerina dress. This seemed like the perfect project. This charming creation not only symbolizes her love for dance. It also carries a touch of whimsy. I can’t wait to see the joy on her face when she receives it!

Dress I did not include a pattern because the yarn I used was a hand spun yarn That I created. So, I am not sure on gauge I will give a deception on how I made it. I started with 6 sts to the top and kept increasing the sides and then would sc the next row. Example (1. Ch 7 in the 2nd ch sc, sc the next 5 sts.ch 1 turn (6) 2. 2sc, sc in the next 4 sts, 2 sc in the last. Ch 1 tun (8) 3. Sc the next 8 sts. Ch 1 turn. (8). Repeat row 2 and 3 till you reach the belly range. Then sewed the sides up and added chs for the arm holes. I then sewed some toll on to the dress to finish the look. The bow is made out of toll as well.
