A little backstory.

Back in 2011, into my very first home. It was a let’s move into the first home that has the least bit wrong with it kind of deal. We housed hunted my inter pregnancy with one of my oldest daughter, and nothing was really coming up. Most homes had some serious issues like mold and other things. Which wasn’t something ideal to move into with children. I found some houses I fell in love with, but again they weren’t suitable because of some serious issues. So when we came across are now home it was the best we could find, and I was expecting pretty soon at that point. So we settled and bought the house. I started painting and getting what I could do before having our bundle of joy. This home isn’t terrible for a first time to buy a house it works for us. It keeps us dry and warm. So that what’s most important right. This home was build in 1920, so it’s pretty old, and it makes it much harder to be able to remodel to what I like. I have tried to deal with it and decorate it, but nothing seems to work or jump out at me.

I have stumbled across the farmhouse look. I had looked at this style for a few years before it became as popular as it is today. With that being said I never thought I could do this look with my kids. My kids are always making messes so anything white I never in a million years thought I could do. Finally one day I said I was going for it. I started by remodeling my amazing craft room. I have fallen so madly in love with.  I have now started remodeling the rest of the house to what I am for now. So I am slowly getting a nice looking home that I can finally say I am starting to love.

With remodeling my home, I wanted to incorporate crochet into this exciting journey. I mean, why wouldn’t I, right? Crochet not only brings warmth and texture to a space, but it also adds a personal touch that reflects my style. I haven’t decided if I want to use my washcloths in the kitchen, bathroom, or just as a decorative piece. Using them in the kitchen could add a cozy vibe, while placing them in the bathroom might create a soothing retreat. Either way, I love them. I envision them hung artistically on a rack or neatly folded in a basket, showcasing their unique designs and colors. I hope to come up with more cute, trendy, and one-of-a-kind ideas that not only serve a purpose but also elevate the aesthetics of my home. These rustic washcloths can be a conversation starter, blending functionality with creativity. I hope you all enjoy this pattern and comment below what you would use them for. I’d love to hear all the cool things you have in store for these charming washcloths and any other crochet ideas you might be exploring!
