Valleys Knit Hat Pattern

Hey everyone, My name is Tawnya. A lot of you may know me from the blog Just Crafting Around. I have decided that I wanted a new blog that I could add so much more for you. I hit a point where I just wasn’t getting what I wanted out of that blog. So that is how This blog became about. I have so much in store for you guys.
When the cold air started approaching, I decided to buy a new warm but trendy jacket was in store. With every New coat, you need a new hat to make it a set right? The answer is of course!
I am still a beginner knitter and learning very quick. I am self-taught with a bit of help from my knit friends. As I go down this journey, I’d like to add my spin to knitting.
I have created this very easy and trendy hat. It works up very quickly and only uses knit and purl stitches. I have written instruction along with pictures for you to create your very own. The patterns written for adult hats but casting on a multiple of 4 stitches the pattern can be altered to fit any size.
Supplies:
Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick Yarn Coney is Land, Stitch marker, Scissors, Us 13 (9mm) circular knitting needles, Tapestry needle,pom pom maker
Abbreviations:
k- Knit, K2tog- Knit 2 together, Bo- Bind off, P- Purl, P2tog- Purl 2 together, Sts- stitches
Cast on 56 stitches with a long tail cast on.
Pattern:
Round 1-4: K1, P1, K1, P1. Repeat this around till round 4. (56)
Round 5: P1, K3 sts, P1, K3 sts. Repeat this around. (56)
Round 6: K1, P3 sts, K1, P3 sts. Repeat this around. (56)
Round 7-8: K1, P1, K1, P1. Repeat this around till round 4. (56)
Round 9: P1, K3 sts, P1, K3 sts. Repeat this around. (56)
Round 10: K1, P3 sts, K1, P3 sts. Repeat this around. (56)
Round 11-12: K1, P1, K1, P1. Repeat this around till round 4. (56)
(Repeat from round 5-8 till you reach about 27 rounds.)
Round 28-30: K2tog, P2tog. Repeat around. (42) (14) (7)
Stitches
BO and sew shut.
Create a pom pom and sew on to the top of your hat.
Trim if needed.
Finished product
